TRADITION AND INNOVATION
TRADITION AND INNOVATION

#womenmakefuture

Man is a symbolic animal. He is so to the extent that ideas, even the most fascinating ones, need to be firmly anchored to the ground. Otherwise, they risk drifting away like clouds on a windy day. Creating signs and symbols is an activity of extraordinary creative power. Through it, humanity transforms the world.
Symbols evoke, celebrate, sanction. They are our conscience and our memory. They inextricably link the past to the future, design intelligence to poetic intelligence, the culture of doing to that of dreaming and fantasy. This is the purpose of Phoebe.

Phoebe, promoted by Officine Riva and created by the sculptor Sonia Scaccabarozzi, is a creation that evokes the continuity between past and future and the alliance between physical and intellectual work. An objective made possible by the intelligence, courage and dedication to work of the entire Officine Riva Team.
Like the Company, Phoebe is at the same time a revolution in continuity: a sculpture made with the manufacturing products to celebrate the will and commitment that carry on the founder's legacy.

its origins and its current essence."

Sonia Scaccabarozzi:
“I was inspired by the spirit of Officine Riva, its origins and its current essence. The transparent glass casing represents the Company and its founder, Cipriano Riva: it preserves his ideas, projects and knowledge.
Inside, I included products that withstand the test of time: washers of different shapes and colours, whose sizes make them resemble grains of sand.

A story that comes from afar, projected towards tomorrow, safeguarded and passed down by daughters and granddaughters represented by four large washers anchored to the ground like the roots of a great tree that continues to grow, where each element represents a valuable resource of the Officine Riva team, each with its own personality and uniqueness.”
"I was inspired by the spirit of Officine Riva,
its origins and its current essence."
